Tracer Study by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE)

CONGRATULATIONS to all OUM graduates attending 20th OUM Convocation in April-May 2017!

Please be informed that the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) has established a National Graduate Profile Database. To support this goal, the Ministry has set up a survey questionnaire to acquire  information that evaluates the perception of graduates on the academic program and the education system in their respective institutions as well as information relating to employability, marketability and career progression of graduates..

Graduates are reminded that filling out the survey questionnaire is a COMPULSORY requirement by MOHE, and a prerequisite for graduation robe acquisition. Correspondingly, we request all OUM graduates in 2017) to cooperate by answering the survey questionnaire that is available online starting on 26th April 2017 (Click here).

Upon answering the survey questionnaire, graduates MUST print the survey slip and bring it along to be shown when taking the convocation robes. Failure to show the slip will result in the students being asked  to fill out the questionnaire in at the computer lab at OUM before being allowed to take their graduation robes.  Therefore, showing the slip following completion of the online survey will definitely avoid delay in the process of robe aquisition.

Accordingly, OUM wishes to thank all graduates for the cooperation and compliance on this matter. OUM is indeed proud of its graduates, and hopes to foster good relations with yourselves as esteemed members Alumni OUM. Hopefully this will be a beginning of a new chapter that will lead to greater excellence and a mutually gratifying experience.


A brief explanation on the Graduates Tracer Study

Here are the steps that need to be complied:

  1. Surf the web and login to (without additional other words after .my)
  2. Upon successful Login, please press the "Login Graduates"
  3. In the presenting dialog box, please enter your Identity Card / Passport / Army number as relevant.
  4. On the part of type of the Institution,  please select IPTS
  5. Please select the Open University Malaysia
  6. Click the send / submit
  7. Next please proceed to fill out the online questionnaire according to the instructions prompted.

However, please take note that you are only eligible to attend the convocation if you have:

  • Completed all requirements for graduation;
  • No outstanding fees (Kindly make the payment before Friday, 14 April 2017);
  • Returned all books that have been borrowed from the library; and
  • Paid for the convocation fees.



For graduates who wish to change the location of their convocation, please submit your application to the convocation secretariat along with a strong reason and supporting documents to latest by 10 April 2017. Applications after this date will not be entertained. Please be informed that there are limited places.

Graduates who succeed in having their convocation location changed should collect their degree/diploma certificate and academic transcript at their original Learning Centre. 



To prospective graduates sponsored by the Ministry of Education Malaysia, please CHECK your Borang Perjanjian Pembiayaan Pendidikan Guru KPM-BPG at myVLE --> myProfile --> Financial --> Sponsorship Status. For those who have yet to submit the Borang Perjanjian Pembiayaan Pendidikan Guru KPM-BPG, kindly return the completed agreement form to the Finance and Planning Division before the convocation. If you fail to do so, you will not be able to get your scroll and transcript.
